Awards 2005 UDIA (Urban Development Institute of Australia) Judges Award Awarded to a stand out development as nominated by the UDIA judging panel. This award highlights the merits of The Village as one particular development from all of those visited by the judging panel as the development using best practice principles and demonstrating a mandate which will ensure success in the future. The Judges comments on the Village project were that they could see success in the approach to The Village becoming a prime urban renewal opportunity. Although a bit premature in Nov 2005 to fully realise its goal, The Village demonstrated to the judges a quality development with well designed homes; a community focus and a sensitive approach to integration with its existing environment.
